The beautiful Jasmine flower (Jasminum officinale) is known in India as “Queen of the Night” due to its intoxicating scent which is released at night.

In China, Jasmine is used to symbolise feminine beauty , sweetness, happiness, elegance and deep affection.

In Ayurvedic medicine Jasmine has traditionally been used to calm the nerves, including tension related headaches and assist with female conditions such as PMS and pain during childbirth.

It has many other properties including use as an anti-inflammatory for the skin and eyes. Jasmine is also used in teas, herbal baths, skin creams and soaps.
